The Recreation Department provides recreational activities for youth and adult residents. Its primary responsibilities are recreational programming, Town-wide event planning, and outdoor facility development.

The Recreation Department works directly with the Department of Public Works, Smithfield School Department and all youth sports organizations in accomplishing these tasks.
